Lo Pulmó is created by the Ricky Rubio Foundation, in collaboration with UOMI Cancer Center and Mi NovAliança

We are very excited to announce the second medical congress promoted by the Ricky Rubio Foundation in collaboration with UOMI Cancer Center and, on this occasion, Clínica Mi NovAliança, in a continuing effort to combat lung cancer. Save the date, because on October 28 the Cappont Campus of the University of Lleida will host Lo Pulmó, the first national oncology congress devoted entirely to the development of new strategies, advances and treatments to stop this disease.

On May 20, we enjoyed a successful day at the first Congress of Clinical Trials in Oncology in Barcelona (CECOB) at the CaixaForum, which was also attended by NBA star Ricky Rubio. We look forward to repeating the success of this multidisciplinary initiative, which once again brings together the most renowned specialists in the field to offer a comprehensive vision of diagnosis, treatment and cures for people with lung cancer. The event, conceived exclusively for medical personnel, will be attended by experts in medicine, biology, psycho-oncology, nursing and other medical specialties.

Join us for Lung Health Awareness Week

After the event, the Ricky Rubio Foundation, with the support of Clínica Mi NovAliança, the Generalitat de Catalunya, Diputació de Lleida, Universitat de Lleida and CatSalut, will kick off a series of actions to raise awareness of lung health, smoking and lung cancer. In the month of November, the World Day Against Lung Cancer is also celebrated, placing a focus on the importance of awareness, prevention and diagnosis to combat the disease. As part of this initiative, an anti-smoking campaign will be carried out for young university students from the University of Lleida and other education centers in the city.
